Our story

The best plans
have a time.

This is the story of an hour every city has, the people it keeps almost meeting, and the app we built so they finally do.

Start at 5:30

5:30 PM

The city exhales.

Laptops close. Chai steams on every corner. Metro doors open onto a thousand people walking home in the same gold light.

For one hour, the whole city is out, unhurried and a little hopeful. Somewhere in that crowd, a few hundred metres from you, is someone you would really like.

5:41 PM

The near miss.

There's a story we kept hearing, in a dozen versions. Two people. The same lane. The same filter coffee counter, at the same six o'clock, for two years.

They finally met on an app, after one of them had moved away. Eleven hundred kilometres apart, they worked out they had been standing three people apart in the queue.

Three people apart. Two years.

Every city is full of near misses.

5:48 PM

Meanwhile, the scroll.

Dating had turned into a second job. Swipe for an hour. Chat for three weeks. “We should meet sometime.” Sometime never came. And the apps that did show who was near put a pin on you, which is the opposite of safe.

  • Endless swiping
  • Chats that go nowhere
  • A pin on a map

5:55 PM

The smallest question.

So we asked the smallest question we could. What if a dating app ended in a time and a place? Not a match. Not a streak. A plan, simple enough to say without overthinking it:

Coffee at 6?

Four words that anyone can say yes to. That became the name.

6:00 PM

Hello.

That's the whole idea. See who's genuinely nearby, as a distance, never a dot. Make a small plan you both say yes to. Then put the phone away and say hello.

When you meet, you're Met on Coffee at 6. That is the only number we really care about.

About the ring. Our mark is an orbit: the people already moving around your day. The dot in the middle is you. Nobody comes closer than you let them.

After six

Where we're going.

The internet brought us closer to everyone except the people next to us. We want to turn that around, one evening at a time.

  1. 01

    Met, not matched.

We measure ourselves by how many people actually meet, not by minutes in the app. The best session is a short one.

  2. 02

    Nearby, never pinpointed.

Your exact location never leaves your phone. Rounded distances, a floor you set, an invisible switch. Safety is the product, not a feature.

  3. 03

Every café, a place to meet.

Partner cafés and venues that welcome a first hello, with something small for the two of you when you arrive.

  4. 04

    Plans, not only dates.

A walk, a gig, a five-a-side game, a mystery meet. Love and friendship both start with saying yes to the same evening.

A city where saying hello to a stranger feels normal again.

Made in India, for Indian evenings. Then for every city with a six o'clock.
